When high tide rises into the bay

On a moonless night far away

Eerie air crying in ways bizarre

And mind looking for a guiding star

Where is the garden of daffodils

That all hearts with joy fills

Where are the lilies and the tulips

What happened to the lotus and the rose

Love has such

A spring in its walk

And gentle ways

It can talk

The wind that hath blown, so fiercely

 Shall never bring petals back

 To what now remains of, once

 That was a flower

And a picture paints 

So many words 

My hands can’t find 

The flair of a brush 

Since my birth I’ve been finding time

Losing it with every find

Many years now past my prime

And in its wrap I lay twined

My thought

As I see

Frequently and often 

Will abandon me

My flower garden the seeds I sow

Make soft soil so air it can breathe

Barricade with fence laid like wreath

In hope my flower will someday grow

My thought has flown

Many miles unknown

Into wilderness

Into Poseidon’s depth

Friendship on thine trust I float

And years invested in thy nourish

In memory remote of every note

That slipped me by in your flourish
