Hello friends
My name is Harmohan Singh and by profession, I am a physician for over 25 years now.
My infatuation with the English poetry began during the school days when I acted in a 'verse drama'.
That inspired me to try my hand at the English poetry writing and soon it became an avocation which continued in my college life too. Before the infatuation could become a full fledged romance my poetry writing went into a deep slumber, there was a long lull, as I got involved in making my career in the medical field. But then as they say, it's never too late, about four years ago I found myself passionately getting involved with English poetry writing, and soon I was romancing it.
About three years ago I tried my hand at Urdu/Hindi/Punjabi poetry too and found it very challenging and have continued writing since then.Of these three languages my command in Urdu was the weakest and it is here that I got help in Urdu from Dr Sarfraz Zafar who has been an immense resource to cultivate my knowledge of this beautiful language.
I admire and envy the authors who write books but because I lack an infinite attention span so I am only able to express my thoughts succinctly in the poetic format. I value the extraordinary gifts of the nature and also value the human relationships and the emotions attached. In my own small way, I endeavor to commingle such incredible natural boons and the human sentiments into a poetic rhythm while retaining the deeper message.
Though the intentions were never there but some of my friends encouraged me to share my poetic works on a larger platform. So here I am presenting my web page for the sole purpose of sharing my poetry with you all.
I dedicate this to my dear wife, Jasleen, who not only is a physician herself but has multiple talents of her own and has been my co-traveller through this ongoing romantic journey.
Of course no introduction is complete without mention of the people who introduced me to this world. So thank you Mom and Dad.
