My thought has flown
Many miles unknown
Into wilderness
Into Poseidon’s depth
Into Zeus’ sky
For a while now
It has been
Without a home
So I built it
A new nest
With some
Straws of comfort
Some Shrubs of love
And few Weeds of wisdom
In hope it will nestle there someday
Instead it chose
To veer into a garden
Full of flowers many and got itself
A bouquet
But in that bunch
There was but only one rose
And ask I did
To my estranged thought
If all the wander
Did worth bring
And in looking
For a better tomorrow
How many good days
Did it lose in sorrow
My thought replied
It had quest for no tomorrow
And every moment
Did joy bring
And all it wanted
Before the day’s end
With Mother Nature
One last fling
To sit back
And enjoy
The robin sing
