I have travelled here before a time
Strange feeling of deja vu
Long ago I was in my prime
As I walk over some fresh dew
New leaves have fallen here since
To cover trails tread, worn a tad
Footprints made by travellers hence
Washed evened time had
The stone bench in corner lay
Weathered and appeared beat
And travellers often gone astray
Rested weary legs on its seat
The hidden paths and little creeks
Holding ground in changing fates
Providing relief when thirst seeks
And short cuts for long waits
For the harsh winds if it weren’t
Would not have my skin weathered
And acres green now lay burnt
Where once my lost thoughts I had gathered
People some that had passed me by
When gazing eyes had laid
A stare to watch time fly
Now resting in stone's shade
So long, the path seemed straight
Lost seldom in glitter and sparkle
Wonder if effort worth, I debate
Round world got me in its circle
