The Journey

The journey starts

Not at your behest

Nor does it end

When laid to rest

Each passing phase

Will bring to thee

Some solemn grief

Then mystic relief

In myriad roles

You will be drawn

With or without you

The show will go on

Sultry feeling

You will detest

Enrich the relation

In which you invest

You may not witness

Again, this scene

Slow down business

Your dream machine

Your shadow fast

Now getting longer

Soon to outlast

Feeling of being stronger

The youth is merely

A milestone warner

Left behind clearly

When you turned that corner

A sound mind

Will carry through

When feeble legs

Will bid adieu

Those skeletons in

Your closet loom

In moments of

Impending doom

In synchrony you

Will dance and pray

And this too

Shall pass away

'Tis not your journey

It never was

You were cast in it

For a divergent cause

Leave before you are

Asked to leave

This may be

Your only reprieve

Out of steam

And out of puff

The curtain falls

All seems rough

Exit signs all lit up

Don’t get in a tailspin

New actors, yup

Are already in

The role you fill

Destiny had penned

This journey still

May never end
