The free blowing wind
Seemingly careless
Or is it trying
To whisper its secret
As the tall mountain
So stoic
Stands over its shoulder
In arrogance
Or maybe in support
In case the breeze
May offset my footing
And the river flows past
In a hurry
And seldom slow
Muddied now
But was not at birth
When it ran on stone
Now rich in sediment
Shelters prey from predator
While the Sun shines
To reveal the detail
The faults and beauty
And the clouds bring upon
A welcoming shade
Or an unwelcoming gloom
It is for the mind to decide
For it is the strongest
